One year on for station

¶ AFTER one year in the spacious new Collie Community Radio station building, presenters are still delighted with the ability to share microphones and screens.
The station’s move from its former premises in Wittenoom Street across the road and around the corner to its new Steere Street South address is still feeling fresh to the radio crew.
It is proving to be attractive to new presenters who have joined this year, with an added studio freeing up space to train newcomers and prerecord when needed.
Chairperson Shane Golding said the move has breathed fresh new life into the station, leading to it being a finalist in the Community Broadcasting Association of Australia’s annual awards.
“The team are all working well together, and there is a happy atmosphere around the station as we all get on with putting our programs out,” Mr Golding said.
“We still have room for more presenters, and we will train you, so if you are thinking of giving it a go, come along, you will get a lot of support.”
