¶ A 49-YEAR-OLD Collie woman appeared before court today after being charged with murder.
Sweeney May Woods fronted Armadale Magistrates Court following an incident in Maddington on Tuesday night.
Police allege the woman and a 51-year-old man, who were known to each other, were involved in an altercation at a residence in Dunnell Street.
The man received a stab wound to his leg before the woman left the scene.
Officers performed CPR on the man on arrival at the scene and he was taken to Armadale Hospital, where he died a short time later.
Police conducted a search of the area and located the woman nearby.
The woman was remanded in custody. She will come before Stirling Gardens Magistrates Court on September 25.
