¶ THREE new volunteers got hands on with horses at HorsePower’s induction day this week.
Centre manager Jo Williams said it was positive to have received interest from a diverse range of people.
Mrs Williams said the day involved a general introduction to HorsePower along with instruction in a few specific tasks.
“Today we’re doing grooming and leading,” she said.
“We’ll go through things like the emergency procedure and the layout of the place, and we’ll show the volunteers the facilities.”
The Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries and Lotterywest contributed $500 towards making the day possible.
