¶ A POLICE investigation into a crash which resulted in a vehicle plunging into the Collie River remains ongoing.
The incident happened on December 26 at around 11.25am.
A grey Hyundai Tucson station sedan travelling in the Collie-Preston Road north-bound lane collided with a guard rail on Schultz Bridge and continued through the railing into the river.
A 63-year-old man was recovered from the water by members of the public and conveyed by ambulance to Collie Hospital for treatment of critical injuries.
Investigators urge anyone with information, CCTV or dashcam footage of the vehicle to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or via www.crimestopperswa.com.au.
