League off to a flyer

¶ THE MLC Eagles league netball team has enjoyed a strong start to the season after entering the competition this year.
Eight rounds into the season, the Eagles sit second on the ladder, having suffered just the one loss, with the best percentage in the competition.
League and reserves coach Angela Repacholi said the team has quickly bonded despite a regular rotation of players.
Repacholi said there is a good mix of experience and youth to draw on.
“They are very talented,” she said.
“We've got some amazing under-18s players that have been filling spots, who have been doing a great job.
“Getting on the court together, everyone backs each other up. There's a great feeling out there.”
League netballer Elle Lincoln said all players have bought in for team success.
“We're all versatile,” Lincoln said. “We all want to see the team do well, regardless of personal performance.
“I think we're all as capable as each other - it's mainly about rotating the players to keep fresh legs.”
Repacholi said it is a testament to the strength of the club that it is this year fielding teams in the league, reserves, masters, under-18s and under-16s competitions.
